Being There (1979) mouse vs remote control

Chance the Gardener: This is just like television, only you can see
much further.

Chance the Gardener: I like to watch.

At the post below Mark left a comment about "another joke like this, with a guy at the window and his hand on a computer mouse."
Instantly I thought about Peter Seller's character Chance the Gardener in the the movie Being There, the 1979 version.

He lived at his boss' house and spent his free time watching TV. After the demise of his boss he had to leave the house carrying the remote control in his hands and trying to change reality pressing the buttons.
Haven't we all felt like using the "mute" on someone from time to time?

This is a great movie and I have to watch it again. He walks on water in the end after all...
